2ng gen neon light on 1st gen

A few questions...

1) Anyone know if this is possible? I mean, do the 2nd gen lights bolt up/body match to the 1st gens? If the answer is no, ignore the rest...

2) Wiring: What all do I need? I see there is a ballast needed, umm, could someone tell us where it is on the vehicle?

3) It's a member here, and his car is not black (mine is black, but wanting to remove all chrome). Is there any painting that will need to be involved?

4) Does the 2nd gen Neo light bar match the design of the 1st gen tail lights? If not, does the 2nd gen tail lights also fit the 1st gen?

1. anything is possible, but no. at minimum you'd need a trunklid.

2. the ballast is part of the light.

3. you'd need trunklid and side lights at minimum because:

4. no. Maybe but i doubt it. You'd probably need to do some bodywork on the quarter panels to get the gen 2 taillights to fit, then install a gen 2 trunklid.

Thanks man! I was wondering if they were just bolt in. It's hard to find a pic of both side by side to compare. Obviously that is outside the scope of what I want to do.

Your sig is borderline and I couldn't tell either... Just may be my eyes.
