3rd Catalytic(Cat) Converter Deletion Smog Results

Lets just say I "lost" it, haha. Naw...my EGR tube was fubar'd so I just put a "plug" on the end of the EGR tube where it broke off. I recently just disconnected the vacuum line because the "plugs" kept falling out. Now I have the annoying CE light though. I plan on getting a new tune for my headers and having him "turn off" the EGR.
 
We should swap chips because mine has the EGR turned off lol... too bad we have different catch codes. I had a 98 Cobra intake manifold I was about to install on my 98 and I ordered the chip with the egr off because I was going to delete it with the intake manifold install, but I ended up selling the cobra intake for some $$$.

Most everybody can pass without the 3rd cat. It really only works when the engine is cold.

Something is wrong with your car if your emissions are that high...

I'm super cool? I don't know, haha. Like I said....he helps me out, gets my cats nice and hot, and does a "pre-test" until the numbers look good and than runs it through real quick.

I'll agree with you there, but ONLY on a properly running car.

I gotta disagree with you here though. "Cats" ONLY work when they "fire". If they don't get hot enough(due to the substrate being bad, aka being dead, or the engine not getting them hot enough, or them being placed too far back from the engine) the substrate material inside will not get hot enough to burn off the excess unburned fuel and NOX. A "cold" cat is nooooo good. The 3rd cat will be the last one to be used because it will take longer to get up to op. temp, therefor not working.

Like Tommy said You need a 3rd cat to pass.
My car was hot when I got the emission done and my eyes where burning in the garage.
 
Lol....your eyes were burning because of your BAD coil and the excess amount of unburned fuel not being "picked up" by the front cats.....yeah?

Glenn still has the two stock cats in the original location, he was only missing the NOX scrubber, which he put in a dual in and dual out cat that includes a nox scrubber.

He "should" have done better than that on the sniffer.. unless that FREAKING MSD coil is "rearing it's ugly head".. again

Haha, I had one of those....I lost by .087(margin of victory) and that run got me a 1.9 60' and a 14.08. I knew I had a 13 sec pass, but I got knocked out of the elims.
