Just wondering which kind i should go with... since my amp is going to be 1600 watts RMS max... but i doubt it will be running that much wattage

4 Ohm Stereo: 200 X 2 Watts
2 Ohm Stereo: 400 X 2 Watts

RE: 4 gauge or 0 guage?

Never hurts to run bigger in case you get more amps later down the road. I would run the 0 Gauge to the trunk, then split it down to a pair of 4 gauge wires for the amps. Come to think of it, that's exactly what I did. :)

Here's an older pic, right above the middle amp, between the crosovers you can see the silver 0 gauge come in to the fused distro block (and voltage meter) and split to 2 4 gauge wires which run to the amps.

RE: 4 gauge or 0 guage?

I got a 6 gauge going to the trunk already. So i think i'm going to hook that up to my JBL. Since for some reason 0 gauge is 2.5 more expensive than 4 gauge i think i'll go with 4. I doubt i'll be adding any amps any time soon. Thanks for the help.
