4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT ???

[LM 97 MK 8]

I just rotated my tires on my '97 (I did it myself), because I don't want an impact wrench used on my Octastar Wheels. Now I want to get a 4 wheel alignment. My neighbor says I wasted my time because when they do an alignment,they loosen or take off the wheels to align the car properly!

Is this true? I NEVER heard this before.

No, the wheels are not loosened nor taken off for an alignment. You can request any shop not to use an impact wrench and most will comply. The best shops will never use an impact wrench on alloy wheels, and will even ask you to stop back for them to recheck the wheel torque after a few miles.

I have had nightmares when it comes to having my car aligned - go to a place that specializes in front ends.
