6 Disk CD Changer in a Mark VIII?

Does anyone else have a 6 disk changer in their Mark VIII?

My 98 has a Clarion 6 disk changer. It has a Ford harness going to it.

I've heard that some 98's came with them. I was wondering if this was a dealer add on, or if it came from the factory.
 
some came with 6 disc, i have taken quite a few out of second gens. these were deff add on's because unlike the 10 disc changers, the wire harness was all entangled with the rest of the cars harness, but the 6 disc changers have a stand alone harness that will easily remove from the car. they used alot of the 6 disc changers in the explorers and navigators too.
 
That makes sense Jamie. The harness looks too long to be factory. The mounting bracket is just screwed to the floor of the trunk too, on top of the trunk carpet.

It works great though, Jeremi found a magazine for it for me for 17 bucks.

Did you happen to keep any of those harnesses?
This might be an option for people that want to keep the stock JBL system, but have a bad Sony 10 disk changer.:)
