Hi everybody. I've got a clean 94 Mark VIII which fell back into my hands after selling it after putting 40,000 miles on it. I love this car but no longer have the time or space for it. I would love to see it go to a good home. It has more than 130,000 miles on it, at least 40k of which were well-cared-for, Mobil 1 miles. The car has an EGR code and is down on power, I suspect a plugged exhaust. About five years ago I ditched the air-ride for a Strutmasters coil spring conversion kit and installed a remote starter. The car currently has some sweet 16 inch wheels from a late model Ford Taurus on in. The only catch is that it's in Vermont. The bright side is that I've got a car-hauler and can deliver through mid November.
So please call (802) 793-2312 and ask for Paul Lincoln Dudley (that's not a joke)
I would hate to part it out, but I could if it came down to it, so call with any questions.

Hi. I just took some sweet pix yesterday, but I can't figure out how to put them on the forums. I would appreciate some advice. I'm a car guy, not a computer guy.

Dudley, I sent you a Private Message (click on "Private Messages" in the top right after you log on) with my email address. If you email the photos to me, I'll post them up here for you.

I'd hate to see this Mark VIII end up in the junk yard.:)

I figured out the picture urls, kind of???

These are the URL's for some pictures. Still unclear as too how to make them appear on the thread. Hopefully everyone can still view them.
As far as towing goes, my Bronco gets 10 mpg, but it likes to travel. I'm not trying to get rich here, just find the car a new home that appreciates it. Newport, VT is about 2 hours from me, Pittsburgh, probably about 12.
Thanks for the offer of help in posting the photos.

Hi Jon. It seems that fuel alone will run around $500 to travel to Pittsburgh and back. The figure my girlfriennd/codriver and I came to was $700 total, making it worth our while to take two days off from work. I don't see any reason why it couldn't be done, but it must happen relatively soon. Once the salt flies, my sweet 79 Bronco comes off the road.

Are you in the Montpelier, VT area? Is the car driving good now. In your judgement, do you think the car can be driven from there to Pittsbugh without any problems?

Hi Jon. I think it is a stretch to try to drive it to Pittsburgh from here. I am about 1/2 hour from Montpelier. The good points about the car are the paint, the remote starter, the lowering kit (except that the left front spring is broken and should be replaced by a new Strutmaster piece), and the tow package. Don't know about the A/C, the heat works, all the brakes work, I think the cruise works. The O/D off light does not light, and I don't know if it's the bulb or a real problem with the electronic overdrive. The other obvious downsides of the car are the ripped simulated convertible top which I removed, and the lack of power, which I suspect is caused by plugged cats.

do you mean I can't just pick it up? again I ask you what is good and what is bad with the car? will I have to put anything into the car for a daily driver?

thanks, but too many problems that can be costly. If I were closer it would be worth it, but the added $700 makes it a bit too much.

do you still have this car?

do you still have this car?

i'm new to the site, just seen the discussion thread but a big fan of the mark viii.
