95 mark viii

you guys are having way too much fun. (the superbird wing has potential, I think it needs to be on a thunderbird though(birds of a feather ect.) btw arn't the wheels backwards on the superbird photo. how did you do that!

Yeah, when we got our car the wheels were on backwards. Check my posts and you'll see the story of bringing it home. I liked that shot so I chopped them so it looked right for the sig pic. They are on right now.

BTW, nice work on the chopped hood. Can't wait to see it finished.

Man, I miss AZ...

btw I saw a twin to your champion here(Lake Havasu) what did they have for power(460?) same color ect. other than paint fadding looked good (Az. is hell on silvers/golds!) what is 88 eldo. starfire?

Cool! There are many great old RV's out your way. We've made two trips out there this year, love AZ! If you see any '78-85 Champion Motorhomes out there in junkyards (I know they're out there), I'm looking for a sink faucet spout. Can PM you some info about it, if you can help. Want to keep it as vintage as possible. Anyway it's got a 350, gets decent mileage (for an RV). Gotta love shag carpet and crushed velvet!

The Eldorado Starfire is discussed here (pictured as my avatar). It's the "Lincoln Coach".

guess I screwed up I saw a twin to your "lincoln coach" in Havasu. I go to the bone yards a lot(parts for projects and to keep mk8 ownership affordable, picked up a posi w/spare gearset 60.00 my bro found nearly new set of four ford air bags 70.00 ) I'll keep an eye open!

well heres some more "in progress" shots of my hood.

I hear ya on the junkyard thing! Thanks for keeping an eye out.

I'm pretty sure I know of the Starfire in Havasu. Was it tan and a 31ft model (has tandem rear axles)? If so, I was considering that rig, but it has some brake issues and some other random issues. The price was right and it has a gear vendors overdrive on it. The pics on the tread here about mine has a shot with the hood open. That's the Havasu rig.

Keep up the work on the hood, gonna be cool.

Be very carefull with the filler. When I made the cowl hood on my 95 i only had about 1\16" of filler on top of the bondo, and it still cracked about a year later. Im not saying it will happen to you, im just giving you the heads up.

are you thinking of spot putty? filler is bondo(brand name) if so I try not to use spot putty(thick primer no catalist)for any more than sanding scratches. it can be more trouble than its worth(rather use filler[bondo] less problems!)

might be talked into doing another this winter. just started new job and the boss told me today I can do as much O.T.as I want up to12 hours a day thru end of sept. hard to pass up and lincoln needs a new motor!(this one runs fine but only half fast! maybe quarter fast)

Hey LOOK! :)
