95 MK VIII - 24hrs to make a decision

Hello all,

I have a 95 MKVII that has enough front end damage to where the insurance co. wants to total it out. It's mostly cosmetic, and almost totally isolated to the front end, but airbags are blown.

I have 24 hours to tell them where to tow it, IF I'm going to keep it. If there are any serious offers before that time I can have them tow it to your address at no additional cost. (within chicagoland illinois area)

Here's the specs:
95 MK VII
107k
New tires (Eagle GS with less than 10k miles)
Owned and very well maintained since 99.
Minty interior condiditon
excellent exterior condition (except front end)
Still runs fine, though radiator is trashed.

See my initial post here for more info: http://www.lincolnsclub.org/dcforum/DCForumID12/485.html

Very sad to see my baby go. Email or call me with serious inquiries only.

Remember, I only have 24 hours if you want free towing!

what's the buy back? If it runs and drives and is cheap enough (ie: i can sell my winter beater and cover it), i'm interested. I wonder how far they're willing to tow it...

Like I said, call me if you are interested. I dont have much time to make a decision here. I probably wont be checking the boards again.

Even though he said he wont be checking the boards again, I have to point something out.

he is very lucky that the laws in the D.O.T.'s regualtions for trucks/tractor-trailers changed. The tail gate extension is precisely what stopped his car from running underneath the back end of that truck. Had the D.O.T. not mandated that safety standard of lowering the rear tail-gate of the truck, we wouldnt be reading this post. The driver probably wouldnt be doing anything but pushing daisies.

The car can be replaced...
