'96 TC Questions

My reputation as a Lincoln aficionado has prompted someone to make me an offer I can't refuse.

The proverbial story... little ole' lady, bla, bla, bla...

It's a '96 Pearl White Signature series w/ 55K, garage kept, no accidents, nice paint, very little dings and a nice gray leather interior. Belongs to a co-worker's grandfather who simply has one too many vehicles since spouse passed away over a year ago. Well maintained and used infrequently for trips and almost not at all the last year or more. Fluids clean, drives like a dream and shows no wear for the worse other than needs a detail and wax.

Asking $6K, has let it be known he'd let it go for $5K.

Whaddya think?

Didn't you say you like pearl white cars? If so, buy it. Isn't one of your sons driving age? ;)

RE: '96 TC Questions

The 96-97 Lincoln Towncar is BY FAR the best year(s) to purchase.

We currently have 4 of them in our fleet of sedans and Limos...why would a Limo company keep cars that are 9 years old? BECAUSE...they are paid for, and have the lowest cost/income operating profit.

Combined, over the last 4 years, we have spent a TOTAL of $900 to keep all 4 of these cars in operation. On the flip side, they have logged over 600,000 miles COMBINED during that time.

I highly recommedn you purchase this car. It is an awesome combination of luxury, safety, dependability, and power.

Excellent luck JP...you cannot go wrong. Your grand kids will even enjoy this one buddy.

Both are. The youngest(18) wants to buy the black '91 LSC. }(

The deal IMHO is hard to beat. Thanks for the feedback. :D

Great. The wife wants to buy the TC and bring all 3 Lincolns('91 Mark VIII LSC, '93 Mark VIII and '96 Signature Town Car) to Carlisle with our 2 sons. ::wtf::

I'll never get them to move out! :7

Craig - you haven't had any problems with the plastic intake manifolds? That's the main reason I've been avoiding '96 and '97s...

RE: '96 TC Questions

Wow, a month later and I'm finally getting a chance to look it over good this evening.

I've done some research and hope I know what to look for.

BTW, it's not 'Pearl' white, it's 'Performance' white.

The owner had it serviced and 'all the fluids changed'.
