i bought some wax from IBIZ company about a month ago and have been putting off doing my 98 again. today i finally had a day to spend on it so i did it. i had to wash it, then clay bar, then wash again and dry. i then put on a nice fresh coat of this new wax i bought. i already did it on my deep jewel green 93 with awesome results but my black 98, wow. totally sweet. it took me about 5 hours to do all this, and i dont want to wax it again for 6 months lol. as anal as i am on my car, i really am sick of keeping this black beast clean. time for a mark with a good dirt hiding color lol. check out some pics.

i'll do anyones mark who brings it to me, i do detailing also but dont advertise it. there is no fixing that back window gasket, mines original and starting to wave a little, only way to fix it right is to replace the window. and max, i dont know what it is with my camera, sometimes it takes killer pictures, sometimes i want to smash it on the ground, i guess i wasnt cut out for photography.

There is nothing I enjoy more than spending a half day, drinking a few beers, and listening to my iPod to accomplish a good detail job. Bravo.

Looks beautiful Jamie!

You should take the car down to one of your beautiful Florida beaches, and get some photos to send to JP for the calendar.:)

As I told you before, I use the Mothers Carnuba wax on my cars. I think I'll try that stuff that you're using.:D

OK BILL JUST FOR YOU BUDDY, CHECK THESE OUT. ITS FUNNY WHERE I TOOK THE PICS, THERE WERE SOME GUYS FISHING ABOUT A 100 FEET AWAY AND THEY HAD A SILVER FIRST GEN PARKED OUT ON THE SAND TOO! I THINKED THEY LIKED THE WAY MINE SOUNDS, SO I GOT ON IT FOR THEM LEAVING!
ONE OF THESE PICS I TOOK, CAME OUT ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE A PIC I TOOK OF MY 97 LSC OVER A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, IN ALMOST THE EXACT SAME SPOT!

thanks max, i was very nervous about picture number 3, the car is parked where the tide was about 30 minutes before the pic, the sand was soft and wet and i was afraid of the car sinking! sure made for a nice pic though, i would have went even closer to the water, but i didnt feel like tracking all kinds of mud into the car.

Beautiful beach shots Jamie!

But I didn't ask you to drive it into the Gulf.:D

I really miss Florida. I used to go there at least once a year. I used to do a lot of testing in Naples and head to the Palm Beach area and visit friends for the weekends.

One of these days I'd like to drive my Mark down there and take some photos on the beach like that.

Can you get the same shots with the Deep Jewel Green Mark?:)

Or even better both Marks together?

well i actually sent an email to my buddy Ed who only lives about 15 minutes from me in clearwater, i want him to take his two 97's and 96 over there with both of mine and we can take some pics of all 5 of them at the beach. that would make for some sweet shots. i'd take some of my 93 there too but my wife needs to learn that i am not the car detailer for anyone and everyone, she needs to learn how to pick up a sponge and mix up some soapy water herself. i bought the car, i pay the insurance, i put gas in it, im sick of cleaning it and taking all the crap out of it that she leaves inside it. i clean it all up pretty, 2 days later its trashed. i cant win!!! she says i am into my car too much, sure, maybe i am, but look who cares about his car, maybe if she paid for the 93 with her money, she would treat it better.

Your car looks real smooth! Black Diamond!
Good work on the detail, that is how I used to make my money when I was younger, 15-16 yrs old. Still love to do it too! Make me feel like I really accomplished something. I like to take before and after pics too! haha

Oops, not sure how I missed this -- looks GREAT Jaime!

I used to use IBIZ and I thought it gave a great shine and was SO easy to use. But then I started seeing residue afterwards, so I don't really use it anymore.

A shiney black car is hard to beat for looks. I love mine when it's that way, problem is a a daily driver, its a pain. I just washed (sponge bathed ) the Whiner as it has been almost a year since the last. It hides the dirt well, but the black car will show better when clean.
Jamie if you'd of gotten that car wet with salt water I would take you right directly to the wood shed !! Photo chop the car onto the beach. Salt and metal are baaaaadd!!! A friend of mine at GM was part of the team that had something like 300 trucks sent to the shreader that had been sitting at a dock in Miami and got salt water penetration. They didn't even attempt a salvage,or anything just sent them all to a shredder due to liability stuff. Don't let that happen to your Mark Vlll.
