Yep, it's time to find another home for my Mark VIII. Located 25 km east of Toronto, Ontario. It's black and tan. She has served me well but I've finally purchased another vehicle. The Mark as 240K Km on it now. Primarily highway miles. Air con blows cold. Blend door is fine. I just had a front inner tie rod replaced when I took it in for a safety check. To pass the safety, all it needs is front brakes. It has a new set of 4 BF Goodrich tires and a set of 4 really good winter tires on separate rims. The chrome 10 spokes are taken off every winter and they are in great condition. I also Krown undercoat the car routinely and there's no rust. Rear tail light is good as are the front HIDs. What doesn't work: Coffee holder, inside fuel door release, driver's base heated seat (a cushion works fine) but the driver's back heater works. Both passenger heated elements work. I need to do a repair on the steering column as well. The body as some door dings on the passenger side but it's straight other than that. Clear coat is still good. Minor stuff when you consider how much is good on the car. I've always changed oil regularly. No issues with the drive train at all. No tears on the seats front or back. Back seat is in really good condition. As is, asking about $3000 CDN. Certified, about $3500.
Will miss this car tremendously when she's gone! I owned it for 7 years!

Found a buyer!

Found a buyer!

Shortly after I posted this, I got a call from an interested party who subsequently came over and put down some cash for a down payment. Should close the deal this evening.

Wow, quick turn-around! Be sure to tell the new owner about the site!

Very proud of this site

Very proud of this site

I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed, respected and benefited from the association I have had with this site and its members. I bought my first Mark VIII in Jan.99. It was a champain/black '94 Base. I graduated to the black/tan '98 Mark VIII LSC in March of '02. Its new owner,Keith, is a genuine car nut. Last night I hung out with him and some new buddies in town with their classic muscle cars. My 69 Cougar XR7 always gets lots of interest as well. Got home around midnight! Time flies when you're having fun!

I will see my old Mark around town soon I'm sure. Keith, tells me he has a lot of plans for this car. Maybe I'll be able to grab a picture or two. Regardless, I'll make sure he is aware of the super folks here at LOD.

I'll be dropping by from time to time to check out things here too. It's a stroll down memory lane for sure. Thanks to everyone for their input and support. All the best to you down the road! I love these cars...
