Ok so in some previous posts I mentioned a transmission changeout.. again. XD - so anyway you might have seen my "damn neon light" post in the electrical section, I finally got that sorted and now moving on to my next project, the transmission.
I'll be making a cash purchase on this beast on saturday for $400 , its a 98 with really bright red tranny fluid that came from what seems to be a mint 98 base model. Heres the few pics I grabbed :
So as you can see, it has been sitting in his storage container, on property for at least a year or two. He tipped over the tranny to look at it after I asked him about it, and witnessed about 4 quarts of what looks and smells to be original mercon 3 pouring out of it... But it was only a few quarts and it looked nice a red.
I was wondering if anyone can verify the year by this plate. He claims its a 98, and I tend to believe him, I was just wondering if anyone could confirm before I take the 2 hr drive to Ocala and make a cash purchase on this.
