A/C not cooling at 60+ MPH

When Cruising on the highway (60+ MPH) the A/C doesn't not get cold. When I get below 60 MPH the A/C get very cold.
I took the car to the dealership and they replaced the orifice tube cycling switch and recharge system.

What could be wrong?

If they didn't fix it, take it back. Give them crap for charging you money and not fixing the problem.

It sounds like a pressure switch issue...possibly the high pressure switch turning the A/C compressor off.

The car has a two year warranty.
I took the car back yesterday and the A/C compressor is losing pressure.
So now the car is getting a new A/C compressor.
:)

Could be something wrong with the VCRM....maybe when the fan kicks on to the HIGH speed it cuts the A/C off? I don't know man....that is a wierd symptom. I hope the dealer hasn't been charging you for any of the repairs.

It is an odd problem. I'm wondering if somehow it could be cooling system related. Is this problem on the Mark I'm assuming? If the car is getting hot for some reason while cruising it can cause the A/C performance to really take a hit.

My other thought is the part of the system that queues the A/C to shut off under WOT. Maybe once it gets to a certain speed it queues the system to shut off??

The VCRM actually controls the functions of the fans and possibly the A/C, but ultimately the ECU is the first point of WOT cutoff.
