Air bag replacement kits

Are there different qualities to these replacement kits? The car I just bought was converted, and it doesn't seem to handle or ride like I remember my last one with the bags did.

There's been several over the years and they're all over the map IMHO. Too many variables with shocks/struts/springs.

Have the feeling the guy used the cheapest kit he could find. I'm wondering if he didn't just use parts store t-bird/cougar stuff and rig it.

The shock portion might be worn out too. I'm moving this thread to the brakes/suspension section.
