Aluminum Dash trim in '98 Mark VIII

It's been a tough summer for my Mark VIII, so I thought I would get it a nice interior upgrade. It's a satin aluminum dash trim kit, which I think has 17 pieces total. For now, I have only added the trim to the center dash and console, as I only had one pack of the 3M adhesive promoter, and had to order more online. Here's a pic of what it looks like so far.

i like the pieces around the stereo and defrost switch, but not diggin the pieces on the console maybe if those pieces were the exact size of the part they are stuck on it might look better. but its different!

That looks awesome. A lot of the new cars come with the brushed aluminum look these days. How much was the kit?

With shipping, the kit was 113.00, and these dash kits are available from drop shipping companies all over the internet. Just do a google search on dash kits or dash trim. There are dozens of varieties available, from wood, aluminum, carbon fiber, various colors, etc.

At long last, the satin aluminum interior trim job is complete. It took more than 2 weeks to receive the extra 3M 4298 adhesive promoter I needed for certain pieces. The job I did wasn't perfect, as some pieces are off by one millimeter or more, but I think it really updates the interior in a very nice way. There were a few pieces I did not use, because I thought they would give a "choppy" look. I ended up using all of the door panel pieces, including around the door handle, surrounding the window & lock buttons, and two pieces on the upper door panel.

dude...thats a SWEET picture! I think it really looks good, didn't like it from the other angle but thats nice! I'm still iffy about the center console, would be nice if the ashtray/cup holder were wood grain.
