Amazon has this device called the "Kindle". It's a portable device for reading text. At first I was skeptical about it but now it seems more and more people are giving it good reviews.

Apparently you can download books, pdfs and many other formats into it.

has anyone tried it yet? Did you like it or hate it? is it worth the price?

I read about in the SkyMall magazine on one of my airplane trips. It seems VERY cool and has a decent amount of memory. You can also use it to write if you're into that, lol.
 
I had one of these for YEARS, its called a Newton but did A LOT more than this did. :)

However, in its simplicity may be the root of its popularity of the Kindle.
 
Amazon is claiming that their dispaly technology is one of the biggest innovations, but it doesn't seem to come across as that special in phtographs. I wonder if I could find a used one on ebay...
 
Yea the battery life of that thing is measured in days. It is a pretty neat device... especially if you like to read and travel and don't want to pack a stack of books.
