American Citizens

RE: American Citizens

For those that DO vote...get it done. For those that dont....go rent a movie...the TV will be all a-buzz with election material.

or....spend the time here. Just keep your voting opinions to yourself, please. this isnt the thread for that.

RE: American Citizens

Go do it, VOTE!! I went early this morning, before work :D

RE: American Citizens

With these new liberal voting laws, I was able to vote in Florida (my winter home) over the weekend in early voting, then drive back to Illinois and vote again today. That is OK isn't it? J/K

RE: American Citizens

Can't believe some people waited for hours (I heard up to 9 in some places) to vote well into to the night. I applauded those people who stood in long lines and those who were challenged and took time to plead their case to vote. I took me less then 5 mins from the time I entered my polling place to the time I left. Something needs to be done so that no one should have to wait more then an hour to vote.

RE: American Citizens

Yea there is no excuse for long lines at polling places. Spend the money, hire the people, get the machines to get it done.

I walked right in and voted. It was one of those punch card deals. And the lines on the pages didn't line up 100% with the holes in the card for a lot of the smaller races. You had to check the number to make sure you were punching the right hole. Which i did, of course. And no hanging or pregnant chads here, either.

RE: American Citizens

Yeah, 9 hours, that's incredible. But that's great that people cared enough to do it.
