AMP advice

I think I will be running a custom setup of 3 Dual Voice coil 4 ohms subs at about 1 Ohm so I need a 1 ohm stable amp. The subs are going to be 10" Kicker L7s with 600rms each. So I will need about 1000-1800watts rms.
I was curious as to if anyone has heard of SoundStream amps since I haven't heard much from them?!
Are there any advantages to running Mono vs Stereo Amps?! Also is it really important to get Class D amps?! Since they are more power efficient?!
So far I was thinking about Kicker Amps as well as Rockford Fosgate. Any advice is appreciated.

RE: AMP advice

soundstream is a good amp. id stay away from fosgate. kicker i dont know much about i lost interest in them when they went square subs. ma audio hc amps are great. ive got one on a ma audio 18 im very happy with it and its low price.

RE: AMP advice

Has anyone heard of Infinity?! They have last years top of the line model going pretty cheap, I think it is called the 1211.

RE: AMP advice

I don't plan on spending a lot of money on the stereo. I think I am going to go oldschool with a ZR1000 Kicker amp. It should give those L7s a good workout.

Im running all Infinity separates for speakers. (Although i like the sound of my Kenwood Excelons way better in my truck). The Kenwoods have a rich warmer stereo sound to them. The infinity's are very sharp and crystal clear. Depends on what youre after for range i guess. I like them and they are definately clear. I'm running a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amp and Alpine head unit.
