hello all im new to this site but frequent mustangforums and cfmperformance.net all the time. i own a 1995 white lincoln mark VIII and a 2002 mustang gt. i bought my mark with 82,000 miles from a buddy heading to Iraq for 1900.00. it had the ghetto lean on the front drivers spring and had never been properly maintained. i replaced the valve, left to go get some parts and returned to find that i now owned a low rider!!!!
i found out that the compressor had been burned out for along time and chose to go with a 1.5 lowered coil spring kit from american air ride. after replacing the suspention,plugs,wires,coil packs,t-stat,water pump,coolant,oil and filter,air filter,battery,front pads,rear pads,both rear calipers and 3 used tires(she still had the original rubber!!) it looked like this
ive owned this car for alomst 6 years now did all that work to it and now its got only 89,000 miles!! ive put only 2000 miles on it since ive had it but my brother had a run in with a semi( more like under a semi) leaving him with 5 pins in his leg and no car so he drove it for 2 months almost tripling the miles ive put on it.
the month i got it back i was 1 block from my wifes gas station sitting at a red light when a 4x4 dodge ram driven buy aan 18 year old girl proceeded to back up into my lincoln, putting the trailer hitch thru the drivers headlight into the radaitor support.
now my baby looks like this.
now im gathering parts up to rebuild her and im thinking about pulling the engine and adding a 04 cobra rotating assembly, heads and s/c for some cheap hp. sorry for the l o n g post.
