Hello, everyone! My name's Lucas and I just purchased my Mark VIII last week. I guess that means I should join a Mark VIII forum now, right?
About me: I'm a full-time student at SUNY Morrisville pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Technology and Management. I have one more year left and have completed the technical aspect of my curriculum, all that's left now are business and managerial classes. I'm working part-time at Autobarn Corporate Headquarters for a summer job.
I'm 21 years old, from Long Island, NY. I'm really big into Chevies, but fell in love with the Mark VIIIs after working on the one in my electronics courses. After selling my El Camino, I decided a Mark VIII would be a fun daily driver.
If you're from the LINY area, you can usually find me at shows in Nassau county, sometimes in Suffolk too. A good friend of mine from the shows is a member and moderator on here, LeoC2. If you don't know him, take some time to introduce yourself. He's quite knowledgeable and has a TON of useful car care products for sale at www.dftowel.com
About my car: It's a '98 in Pearl White Metallic Tri-Coat. I purchased it from the original owner in Rye Brook, NY with 40,400 miles on it. He maintained it meticulously at his local Lincoln dealer and kept every service record and receipt. I intend to do the very same as he did and keep it fairly stock with only some minor modifications including a programmer from BOC, cat-back exhaust, cobra intake, and perhaps some slightly bigger fuel injectors and intake with recalibrated MAF.
Pictures will follow if I can ever find my camera... I'd use the one on my laptop, but the motherboard fried just recently, so I'm up the creek.
Anyway, thanks for reading this and I hope I can be of some help to you guys. Cheers.
