With the tech thread in mind http://www.lincolnsclub.org/lincolntech/modrepair/transcooler.html
I ordered the cooler.

Looking at the parts the hose that came with it is the cheap stuff that gets real limber or extra hard after a while. It looks like standard fuel hose.
So I stopped at O'Rileys auto parts and picked up 8ft of Gates Transmission hose. This stuff is kinda expensive @ over $3ft, but I'm all about putting top quality stuff on my vehicles to keep them rolling down the road trouble free.
I picked up the fittings that are in the tech link at a local small hardware store.
I have delt with the fittings at Lowes in the past, specifically the farel type fittings. They leak.
I installed this cooler dead center of the car. In order to do this I had to move this piece over a little. What is it?
I used my little 90deg drill head a bunch to get into the tight areas.
Mounting the cooler itself I just used the brackets that came with the cooler. I was going to use some 1in alum angle, but all I had was 1 1/2in and that was just to big.
The top brackets are pretty much straight. Once the unit was hung I used a piece of 12ga solid wire to create a template for the bottom brackets.
I try to take decent pix's so there is no questions and the pixs explain it all, but it was very hard to get good pixs. Here goes anyway.
I like nylon lock nuts better than lock washers and standard nuts.
The cooler is not perfectly straight up and down. This was so that some wiring that was in the area didn't rub on the cooler.
The rest was just following the tech thread, but I spent a bunch of time making several boots out of old radiator hose and tye wraping it so there would not be any chafing.
