Welp.... After my Ivory 97 mark's tranny took a dump last year I have been depending on my blue 97 mark for all my commuting. Now its tranny took a dump also. :frown-blue:
I pulled the valve body and went through everything with a fine tooth comb including new solenoids and it was all for nothin. The car has perfect engagement of reverse, but will not go forward in any gear at all. The fluid is still like new and there was no signs of mechanical failure at all like the white mark. Infact... sometimes it will actually engage after reving up the motor, but that is a rare occasion. Im really at a loss because it seems like something real simple and dumb. No burnt anything, no strange noises... nothin. I also tried a new neutral safety swich...... nada. It ran perfectly before letting it sit for 3 weeks while away for work. When I got back and started the car it slipped and then grabbed. few miles down the road after coming to a stop........ nothin..... no forward movement at all in any forward gear what so ever
If you guys dont have any other suggestions to try?..... Im prolly just going to get rid of both marks like ripping off an old dirty scab as I dont have the ability to do a tranny swap.
