Wait, so the circuit breaker pops after it comes out of this "standby" mode? Can you see what size the electric line is? What wattage is the microwave?

Yes, exactly. If it has some sort of standby mode. If I'm cooking something, it opens fine every time. It's only when it sits. I'm not at home so I can't check the power and wire.
