I've been looking for the Motorcraft part number for the heater core for a Gen 2 Mark VIII. I might be helping someone change one out soon and I'm trying to find him the best deal on the parts.
It's been awhile, but I remember the last time I did a heater core, the parts store pieces were crap, but the Motorcraft one seemed to be much higher quality. That being said, the pictures shown on the parts store websites now mimic the Motorcraft design. Has anyone bought one recently and can confirm if they're good quality or not?
In my searches, I've found that the 1995 heater core is listed as part # HC-11, but no confirmation of it being the same for the later years. Are they the same throughout the model years? Amazon has the Motorcraft HC-11 for $22, and that would help him out a little bit.
