Auto Headlights sensor

I would normally dig into my service manuals for the answer, but they are a long way from where the car is right now, so I figured I'd ask here:

Does anyone know which of the two sensors on the pass side dashboard is the headlight "night" sensor? I know one of them is the HVAC Sun Load Sensor, but I don't know which.

The headlights come on in the daytime when I turn the knob to the left from the off position. This is on a 98, in case you're confusing the 1st gen with the 2nd. :D

Normally, I wouldn't care if I had the lights on in the daytime, but with the abundant supply (not sarcasm) of HID light bulbs, I have to make these last for a few more months until I get around to getting a conversion kit from the gentleman in California.

Thanks much.

Are you saying your sensor isn't sensing? Why not simply manually turn your headlight switch OFF? Hold on for a few minutes...I'll go out and cover mine and tell you which one it is!

It's the one closer to the driver. It has loveurs in the dash, The other one has a glass bulb-like looking thingee. That's Sharon's (Trixie) wording for something one doesn't know the name of !

I am having the opposite issue. On my 93 the headlights have to be manually turned on and the climate control lights dont come on at all. They worked fine when I installed the new climate module.... any possible link to a fuse in this case?

Oh ya...I heard that one too. And the other one that starts with a N, but I don't use that one.

And jimmyrig!

I think were being politically correct. Hmmmmm?

I had that crap rammed down my throat at work so much it wanted to make me puke.

But this is a public forum with all walks of life and affiliations. So we play nice, :)
