Which wire do you hook the green wire to? I know I could get a 9117 tach adapter, but I don't want to spend 80 bucks to get one. I met a guy one night at the track and he said they just hooked the green wire to the factory tach wire and it worked just fine, but he never told me what color or which wire it was.
 
This may sound like a silly question... and it's not personal - but here it goes...

If you have a tachometer in the dash AND you have an automatic transmission, why would you need an aftermarket TACH? I've always wondered. :rolleyes:
 
Aftermarket Tachs are good for up to 20 RWHP

Who knows, maybe the guy has an automatic tranny with a manual valve body?
 
no get it right its 15HP for every inch of tach. so the 5" tach is good for 75 hp where as the smaller ones are not as powerfull
