I have some OEM motor mounts that I need to put in Nyghtshayd.
Does anyone know a way to replace these since I do not have an engine lift?

Do this ^^^ I would NOT want to try to change those without the subframe lowered at least 5 or 6 inches. When I changed mine I took the subframe completely out....

Or, I could chicken out and send it to my backup mechanic ( ^,^)

I like that tool though, DLF, I'll keep that in mind.

I get how to hold the engine up but I don't get how to lift it with the 2 x 4's.

You don't have to lift the engine, just hold it in place while you lower the K-Member.

If you're going to try the '2x4' method, I'd strongly suggest either a 4x4 or at least two 2x4's on edge.
 
harbor freight sells one for 60$. I have a HF right by my house and checked it out. It was actually pretty well built. I also used soem Unistrut once. It held fine,but it did bend a little.
 
I did mine with the K member out when I was installing headers....killed two (or three) projects at once.

Without pulling or dropping the member, its a PITA. Also...don't disconnect the suspension when you do it, the k member will just hang there...less work.
