They should make an ET spot for the bone stock Mark VIII times.

Thats a ton of passes for a weekend! Track here is terrible. Youre lucky to get like 5 or 6 a night with all the traffic and people spilling stuff on the track. Nice runs man. Nice reaction times. That car is faster than my original motor stock times. And youre not even running a chip yet. Sweet.

Thanks for the props JBIRD, Hey Jeff i still like Holt better. But it look like it was going to to rain so their wasn't that many car running i only park for about ten min's or so to make the wife happy. you know sit down watch a few let her go pee while i watch the stuff. then i was right back at it. i wish some one had some stock times in the 8th so i could get an idea on where i am at as far as no mods other than a k&n and third cat removal. One night i will have to drive to ennis so i can get my name on the board we need A 8TH MILE TIME RECORDFOR QUICKEST LINCOLNS. FOR US GUYS THAT CAN'T GET TO A 1/4 MILE. PLEASE DRILLER:big-grin:

Compare your first passes to where you are now.
you sig says 9.84 and you ran 9.63 and gained about 1 MPH those are significal gains for how little you have done to the car.

consider this, .1 is roughly the same as a whole car length.
So if you raced your car in its current state against your car when it was stock, at the finish line you would be 2 car lengths ahead.

that is why it is "oh so very cool" that you ran some passes when the car was stock.

Job well done on huge number of passes, nothing like "seat time" to find your own personal groove.

how much if any cool down time did you have during these runs?

I lust for days that you can make 5-6 passes or more per hour. :D

Just for reference, my best 1/8th mile the first year I ran at the track was 9.368@76.13 with 4.10s, chip and exhaust.

looks at runs 9, 10 and 11.

looks like you ran a 9.70 on run 9 and a 9.60 with a 22 minute cool down, then on a "round robin run #11" you ran a 9.67 with what looks like 5 minutes elapsed since run #10.

that's a pretty tight package and I believe had you let the car sit for maybe an hour before you made your first pass you likely could have ran a 9.50sumthin.

Good news is.. your solidly into the 14's.. a 9.50-9.60 pass is roughly a 14.70(ish) run.

gonna go back and look at the slips some more, but I think you ran 9.72 THREE times?
you really need to "make time" and get that thing into a bracket race!
(peer pressure smile)

that's a great reference JP!

on that 9.36 pass if RT's were equal you'd been about three car lengths in front with a 2MPH advantage.

Krackers car is SMOKIN for what it is... just a gear swap could potentially put him in the 9.20 range, add a chip..possibly a 13 second car.

Need to coax him down here to one of this sea-level 1/4 mile track

i Only cooled down once for about ten minutes. the only change i made on the car was a k&n air filter and third cat removal so not much done to it other than a tune up. i guess the k&n and the removal of the cat makes it not stock any more. lol i think most of of the time droped was from the tips you gave me XRLVIII. thanks. how much do you think my et will drop with the 4.10 and the chip from lonnie

No worries i will be down there sometime in the future. like i said my wifes parents live in Pearland. still training my asst mgr. so i can have some time off

Nice times, my 98 LSC runs 14.7's with a 9.6 1/8th mile but it traps 75-76 MPH. Your car is pretty fast for the mods you have done, these cars like a long cool down as well. You could definitely run a 9.5 with a long cool down period with a low 2.2 60 foot time.
