A few months ago I purchased a 1993 Mark Viii with 34k. I drove it for a couple of weeks with no problem. I was taking my wife for chemo treatment and had to accelerate to get out of the way of an ambulance and immediately acquired a dead skip . Took car to mechanic, $970 later,(plugs, wires, coils, fuel filter) still have problem. Second mechanic and $860 still have problem. Took car to Ford dealership. After a week they said they did not have old test equip and could not determine problem. The car will act as if the fuel is shut of for a split second, but only under light load at low rpm's. Hard acceleration and problem goes away. I am 73 years old and have been tinkering with car since I was 10. This has me baffled.
