Hey guys, I bought a 93 opal mark base today (but don't pick it up til fri) and it needs an ignition switch,is that an easy job? I've done it lots on older GM cars but never a fomoco car. Also I've got areally cool colorado custom billet steering wheel that I had on an 87 Mustang, will it work on the mark?
Oh, can I hook up aftermarket speakers to the jvc system?
Thanks for your help and I can't wait to rip Into this car Friday!!!!!

1. Ignition Switch is easy... if that is the problem, I have not heard of one failing yet.
2. Wheel won't fit because of the airbag.
3. Welcome to the board :D

yeah, the switch is the problem,The key broke off in it but it still works with the aid of a drywall screw!!! can anyone tell me how it's done?
Thanks for the welcome

You're confusing the ignition lock cylinder and ignition switch.

The lock cylinder is an easy R&R. There's a release pin accessible by a hole under the lock cylinder. Basically you insert a drift pin in the hole, turn on the key, depress the release pin and pull the lock cylinder straight out.

Yep :D Figured it wasn't the ingnition switch. I would suggest getting a key and a cylinder from a wrecker... you can get that pretty cheap but you will have to carry 2 keys around if you don't use the keyless remote.

Yeah, what you said! Lock cylinder! Theyre 15.00 @ Autozone, I'll probably do that. I don't have to pull the wheel huh? THATS nice! What about the speakers? SURE did wanna use the billet wheel though!!

Depending on your Mark and if you have the JBl you have a total of 8 speakers or 4.
The woofers are 6x8s and you have to take off the door panel off to reach them. The rear grilles simply pop out.
