Blue Flame burning

Another day at a private track rental at the Mason Dixon Dragway found the Blue Flame running the best of the season.

Starting off with a 13.572@100.11, it was looking to be a promising day. After a quick adjustment of tire pressure, I hot-lapped 5 minutes later and picked up the timeslip...

R/T - 0.079
60' - 1.882
330' - 5.533
1/8th - 8.572
mph - 80.57
1000' - 11.204
1/4 - 13.433
MPH - 101.01

That ET is TIED for my best ever and was definitely my best ET at this track. The remainder of the day never quite got to a new best but out of 11 runs. six were 13.4s so I was quite pleased with the way the car ran.

Pulling into the pits for a 2nd cooldown, I apparently had ran over some foriegn object as I later discovered one of the Hoosiers loosing air. A small cut in the 'tread' of the drag tire cut my day short. I could've easily had 20 plus passes and may have hit a new best if it weren't for the bad luck with the tire.

Man that thing sounds healthy. And I am so very very impressed by that being a N/A time... that just floors me.

Thanks everyone! :)

Unlike most of my track days, the weather was favorable for some good times. The averages tell the story...

Temp: 66.0
Humidity: 61%
Barometer: 29.7
Density Altitude: 1588.8
R/T: 0.095
60': 1.890
330': 5.560
1/8: 8.594
mph: 80.50
1000': 11.258
1/4: 13.494
MPH: 100.73
:D

I'll be running again next weekend but it looks to be much warmer in the forecast, so I don't expect a repeat.

Very nice times JP.
Just upgrade the valve springs so you can shift little higher and do some weight reduction and we have first 12 sec N/A Mark VIII.

Thanks! Coming from someone who's over 2 seconds faster than me, that's pretty good. ;)
