BOC has moved

Lonnie

Blue Oval Chips
Just letting everyone know that I am in the progress of moving the company to a more central location. The new location will provide me with better customer services like additional lifts for installs, more room for custom builds and once again on the spot transmission builds and TC installs. Custom tuning will still be the main service with street and dyno tuning available. The new facility has a lot of work yet before it's in full swing. I’ll keep you posted on the progress of the shop.

Phone and Internet services were just finished up yesterday. They had to actually dig and run new lines for me. Now I just have to wait for the weather to clear up so that I can finish running the conduit to finish the installs. I hope to have the Internet side of the business up and running again right after the July 4th weekend.

The new location is

2179 W US Hwy 36
Suite B
Danville, IN 46122
317 718-7231

Yay! Can't wait Lonnie. The Kid wants to talk to you about stuff for his Mustang, and he's heading out to Indy sometime so we may make a trip to see your new place!

That's mucho closer to me also. About a 5 hr. drive.
Are you going to have an open house when you get set up?

Sorry to see you leave Florida, Lonnie.:frown: Best wishes and luck to your new home. I think you will do well up there, centrally located in the US for everyone to access easily.
Yeah do we get discounts for the "dyno day". You know you got mine on the schedule. It's running now. :) I'll man the bbcue grill. lol

It will be a little while before the shop is fully operational. There's a lot of repairs to do first besides updated construction. Also still working out the details for the dyno. I have access to a dyno in town but much rather have my own in the shop. I had a slight setback with the storms they had here as it damaged the roof so that's the first thing that needs to be finished before the rest of the work can continue. But like I said the Internet side of the company will continue to operate as it has in the past.

Yes I've considered an open house. No permanent plans yet since there's so much left to do. Another good thing about the location is it's on the way to the local track and I don't have neighbors to worry about.

Hmm, so dyno/track day once everything is settled in?

Glad the internet side is back up and running, I've been waiting to pick up some parts.

Heres those pics of your babies i took.

all loaded up and ready to go... haha my handicap was climbing the hills with a gasser motor and 12,000lbs, and the penske truck was the 70 MPH top speed governor kicking in. Smooth run all in all untill i threw the safety flag just south of Indiana and had us all camp out for a few hours sleep and coffee in morning. Pretty country side up there even with the flood damages.http://

It will be that same year boxy body style. Not a scratch on it either. My camera doesnt do it justice. Check out the head lights on it too.

Thanks, it's actually a 92 5.0 Sport, I've had it since it was brand new.

The track is only 17 miles away. Still working on the dyno stuff. You'll have to wait and see. Lots and lots of work still to do. Hell I just finally got to sleep on a real bed last night for the first time in 15 days. Boxes everywhere......

Yeah the Tbird is my baby. I can't wait to get going one the updates for it. EEC V conversion with a built 4R75W and new Boss block, forged internals and so on.

Went up on the shop roof to make some repairs the last couple days. The repairs will hold for now but the building will be needing a new roof soon. Now I can start on repairing the ceiling and walls, drywall. The biggest job is the mess cleanup from having the ceiling come down on the shop from all that rain after the storms from last month rolled through. That mixed in with unknown amount of standing water that was here during the flood waters.

I think most people really don't pay a whole lot of attention to details when it comes to vehicles. Some see the headlights and either think something is different or pass it off as factory since it looks like it came that way.

This Tbird has a lot of 1st, I built it back in 95 the way it is now. It was sent to Steeda the week I bought it for their upgrades in 92. After that it stayed with their cam, MAF, UD pulleys, gears, shocks and wheels until the 95 Cobra R came out. Then I figured out how to install the Cobra R wheels, yes those are the real thing, along with the Cobra front brakes. I was the first to accomplish this back then, to which is now common practice. With the EEC Tuner back then I was able to get more power from it since there were no chips companies working with these 5.0 EECs. The car held 2 national speed records in factory stock and B stock classes later after some engine mods @ 139.6 and 182.9 mph. I also auto crossed it for a few years.

This was 1 of 2 only MN12s that was tested with the proto type Kenny Brown suspension braces before they went into production. This was also 1 of 2 only MN12s that was tested for the Addco sway bars before production.
All the proto type parts are still on the car today and I have papers and photos from the factories during installs.

As for the headlights, this is the first and still only Gen 1 MN12 (1989-1993) with Gen 3 MN12 (1996-1997) headlights. The whole front bumper cover is custom along with a custom hood. I assisted in the building of the hood and bumper while doing all the electrical and mounting modifications required to make this swap work. Many others have tried but so far I'm still the only one. There are a couple out there now that just replace the whole front clip (fenders, bumper and hood) to a 96/97 but none were able to keep the Gen 1 clip and do it.

Then there are simple things such as the real Saleen S351 wing that had to be modified to fit the deck lid. Now you can pick up a fake one with the pedestals already flat so they will fit on any car. Back when I did it these wings just came out and you could only get them from Saleen. Also that’s not a Photoshop of the blue neon light from the snorkels of the hood. That’s a real blown glass neon light custom built for that hood. Now days you can pick up neon kits at any auto parts store for a few bucks. They didn’t have kits like that back when I did it.

I was also the first to figure out how to install a 130 Amp 3G alt on one of these vehicles. Custom built my own bracket and now offer it on my website for others.

Wow thats nuts. I noticed the 96-97 lights but the hood and bumper confused me. Never seen another one that was able to swap just the lights. Did you break them apart and paint them or is that black a cover on the outside?

I'm surprised I've never seen your bird on TCCoA, considering all the prototype stuff and the records. Thats one nice bird with one cool history.

Where have you been? I was one of the founding members back when TCCoA was first called the BirdCats. My Tbird has been all over both those sites. Back when it was the BirdCats I even had a couple people post pics up of my car claiming it was theirs until I squashed them. I was one of the pioneers for the MN12 and that site, developing and testing parts then posting tech articles for everyone. Mark M the VP of that site was the one that got Addco started on the sway bars for us and I was enlisted in testing them since I auto crossed. This is what I mean in my last post (common practices), people see it now and think nothing of it or don't even know the history. They think it was just someone that went out recently and bought all the parts because they seen them listed on TCCoA. I was a frequent on that site right up until last Nov when I pulled my sponsorship due to the BS politics over there. So I haven't been gone that long to be forgotten and there are still tech articles from me posted on there. Now there are a lot of newbie’s that probably never heard of me. I get some of those emailing me about parts or a program and have no clue to who I am.
