Box dimensions / Software ?

Hey guys,

Does anybody have the dimensions handy for boxes they have put under the package tray. I am thinking of removing the rack under there and fitting in a box which would vent through the package tray into the passenger area. This was the setup a shop was telling me they would do for $600. I was considering just building my own box but don't know what specs would work. It is a 12" SS12R Soundstream Reference Sub from a few years back. (early 90's) Capable of handling 300 watts RMS I think. I don't have the q numbers off hand.

Can anyone suggest some dimensions for a vented bandpass type of box like that? Also, I am interested in knowing if there are any good "box-building" software programs that you can plug different
restraints into and come up with a good sounding design?

Thanks for your time.
Craig

RE: Box dimensions / Software ?

I just so happen to have my sub box here in my computer room, it's 15 Inches high, 36 inches across, and 13 inches deep.

Here's a link for the best free programs money can buy.

The WinISDpro has your sub parameters built in. Just enter the demensions you want and go to town.
