Brake issue, need help!

When I'm driving around town or on the high way I go to hit the brakes and the car dips on the front (I think its normal) but its also turns or pulls to the left when I brake and pulls back to the right when I get off the brake!

Has anyone experienced this symptoms?
Is so what can cause this?
I've done front and rear brake not too long ago with new brake pads and rotors.

Thanks

Are you sure there is no air in the lines? I would bleed the lines again and make sure a caliper is not sticking.

a few days ago when I got home a Brake pad odor was coming from the back left tire! :banghead:
Maybe the rear driver side caliper is sticking.
Would that cause the left turning dip?
I would think it would had to be a front caliper for it to turn left.

That could cause the condition you described, but so couldn't a few others as well. One could be a worn out set of strut rod bushings, another could be sticking calipers, another could be air in the system etc.

Bleed the brakes again! MAKE sure there is NO air in the line. Clean fluid would be the best coming out.

Check if that rear caliper is sticking. Lube the caliper bolt if needed.

These are both easy and cheap to do and I think will probably solve the problem

I had this issue with my 94. It took me a month to figure it out. After changing and bleeding all the brakes (new calipers too) it turned out to be a bad left lower ball joint ($23 plus $10 to press it in the control arm). The pulling was severe, almost dangerous. You could not tell the ball joint was bad while it was on the lift. The wheel had to be loaded. I caught the bad ball joint is by having someone drive the car forward and back and hitting the brakes kind of hard, you can then see the wheel shift (backward) if, in fact, this is your problem.

Yes, it could be bad, just do the simple drive test to see if it's bad. The upper control arm and/or upper ball joint may cause this too.

It isn't necessarily the ball joint either. It could be the Strut rod bushings that are shot allowing the lower control arm to go forward and backward.

Well I did the breaking test while my wife was in the car and I was watching and both front tires seem to move wile she did some hard breaking @ 5mph.
Is that normal?

No, not normal. What happens is the entire front geometry changes and causes the car to seem to pull one way or the other.

Look at the frame to rod bushing and also the rod to lower control arm bushings. If they are mushed out or split and allow movement then they need to be replaced. It would be a pretty safe bet that if they are shot then your lower control arm ball joints, sway bar links, upper control arms are also in need for replacing and it would be timely to do it all at once as you need to take all these apart to install the strut rod bushings and you also will need to have a front end alignment afterwards.

I looked and all the bushings seemed ok!

the caliper bearings glide with no problems also!
I'm I missing something?

Did you bleed the brakes again? Would be best to completed replace the fluid if you didn't already do it too...use synthetic fluid.

Havent done that yet, will do it this week sense I'm on vacation and have time to work on the car!

This issue just started to happend so I didnt think it was air on the lines but its worth a try!

If it just started happening, I'd check the front calipers for binding. Pull them off, push the pistons in all the way with a C clamp, and while you're at it, check the pads and rotors. I usually sand the pads a bit to remove any glazing too.

Then I'd put them together and bleed them as suggested.
