I've been having a brake noise problem. My front brakes are making a very annoying noise when the brakes are not applied. Even if I apply the brakes gently the noise goes away and is gone under any other application.
My brakes are stock sized brembo rotors (the ones from tirerack)
Ceramic brake pads from raybestos with about 90% remaining.
I don't know what to do next, it sounds like something is rubbing every 1/2 revolution of the wheel. As if the rotor isn't straight and is rubbing against the brake pad. I tried braking hard a few times from 60-70-80 to almost 0 to resolve the problem to no avail.
Any input welcome.
