The navigator weighs 1000 lbs more with a 1000 lb higher GVW. It has 115 more hp and 60 more ft-lbs of torque. 10" shorter wheelbase than the suburban. Much, MUCH better brakes (dual piston calipers up front, disks in the back vs. disc / drum.
With the boat hooked up, you can feel the shorter wheelbase. On the highway, that's a bad thing. Parking, that's a good thing. The extra hp and torque make a huge difference. Plus with the 4R100 i don't have to take it out of overdrive to tow. Stopping is no contest. The navigator stops the boat real easy, the 'burban was a wee bit shaky. But i did replace the brakes on the trailer too.
