I dont know of ANY "approved" vendor but, I just ordered a kit with 9006 bulbs at 8000K from "supervtec" for $49.99. Ships from US -- has ultra thin ballasts.
I just want to avoid buying junk. I have a set that someone gave me a while back. When I plug it in, it lights for a second, the ballast buzzes, and it shuts off. Try it a few times and it eventually lights up.
I tried it with the engine running, and engine off, same thing. I think one might be dead anyways, last time I fooled around with them, they both did the same thing, now one does nothing. It's not worth wasting too much more time on.You need to have the engine running/alternator active to keep these lights lit. Also you DO know 8000k will be REAL BLUE? 6000 is much more white! 8000 is what the ricers use.
and blue is illegal in alot of states, can get tickets for themYou need to have the engine running/alternator active to keep these lights lit. Also you DO know 8000k will be REAL BLUE? 6000 is much more white! 8000 is what the ricers use.
Where is a good place to buy an HID kit from? I know there's a crapload of vendors on thE auction site, but is there a "preferred" vendor?
$40 shipped sounds like a killer deal! isn't that about what siverstars go for?
Looks like a lot of auctions say buy it now $6.99, and $32.00 shipping, then you look at the ad and it says no refunds on shipping. Hmmmm.....
I will.Needless to say, avoid those sellers...
