diesel nozzle isn't always bigger. usually maybe, but not always.I'm surprised the car made it anywhere on diesel.

I thought by law it had to be. In NJ by law we need to have those expensive recovery hoses as well. Also leaded and unleaded had to be different sizes, not that maybe places still sell leaded. If it does by law then maybe the station could be part liable for a mishap?

RE: calling all lincoln experts........

Hmmmm. Very interesting about the nozzle. I was under the impression it wouldn't fit. I always make it a habit of not pulling up to any gas pump I see with a regular nozzle and a green nozzle. Now I will continue that for sure.

RE: calling all lincoln experts........

well first of all the ls8 was blocked in cause we had visitors so i couldnt take that thats why i took the mk8 and the nozzle did fit the tank but the car only had 6 miles to empty on it so why would i pull up into a gas station and put 2 dollars of gas into a nearly empty tank that would be preaty stupid ...i mean not that im tryng to offend u or anything.......}(

RE: calling all lincoln experts........

Diesel in a gas engine will not hurt it, but gas in a diesel engine will damage it if you happen to get the right mixture.

RE: calling all lincoln experts........

I do the same thing Scotty...I avoid those pumps also. Great advice Frankie!
