Can I temp do the fronts only?

Guys, now that I have the blend door and steering done, I'm ready to do the conversion to springs........ I plan on doing the front and rear but if I could do the fronts one weekend and then the rears a little later I could spread the cost over a month or two. I've searched but couldn't find any clear answer, what are your thoughts? Or is it not possible?

Any special instructions? I see that American Air Suspension sells fronts only so I guess it is doable..........

Stay with the air suspension. Not that hard to do, and gives you a better ride. American Air is your best source for both and excellent service.

If you're looking to save money get the conversion...if you're looking to save time, stick with the air bags. :)

Well guys, I know air is great but I want a little sportier set-up and I don't want to get caught when my air completely stops. I'm planning on Tokico springs/struts so it will be a diy conversion. I also plan on buying some perches from DLF to do the rear that's why I wanted to put off the rear a little while becuase of the cost of his perches........ Or I might build my own, not sure yet. I know American Air is great but if I'm going to do springs I don't want stock ride height, I want it lowered about 1".

If you're really after sporty, try some Delrin IRS Bushings and Koni shocks. :D

I kept the air ride.

i am almost wishing i stuck with air. i am only a compressor and a sensor away from being able to switch back.

As a temporary set up you could use T-Bird or Cougar front strut assemblys while you gather the parts for the complete swap.

Are there instructions on how to do the fronts only? I figure the sensors and air lines would need some special attention until I can do the rear too ;-)

i think i recall the instructions saying to epoxy a screw into the air line. probably so the system won't see it as a big leak.

If its in pdf format I would like to take a look at it. Or, if you can give a quick summary that would be great ;-)

I just emailed Arnott to see if they would sell me their upper and lower spring perches for the rear. I need to get a price from them before I do anything. Looks like I'm down to 3 options, DLF's perches, Arnott's or build my own.

When I got my first converstion kit there were no perches and it worked fine. Ofcourse my car was lowered so I'm sure that kept the springs from spinning. I'd have to see the rear end again to see whats up.
