Well i am going to enter my 96 into a car show this weekend, This will be my first outing with my mark, so everybody wish me luck and i will post pictures as soon as i can.
 
i put my 98 in a show once, its a local cruise night here in palm harbor at checkers, every friday. i actually had a lot of old guys looking at it saying they remembered when the mark VIII's came out and how they all wanted one back then!!!
it was fun though good luck have fun.
 
As long as the car shows ain't playing that 50's crap music, it's all good!. In the 80's they played the 50's crap, in the 90's they played that 50's crap. The shows in the 2000's that I have been to early in the decade STILL played that 50's crap. Can we at least move onto the 60's at these cars shows?

Besides all that, participating at car shows sucks! I did it when I was young but didn't enjoy it. You sit there and show off a car. When you analyze the situation, you are sitting there showing off a car worth less than most or all of the cars the audience drove on up with and you are listening to 50's crap in the process!:fart:big-grin:

My advise is for you to avoid at all costs any "OLD TIMERS" events!!!! We LOVE that '50's crap music!!!! ;)
 
Well i I love all kinds of music myself but i have a feeling that will not be the case at this show, you guys have to remember I live in Cali. it will be mostly hip=hop and Rap But thats OK my system can keep up lol
 
Good luck to ya. Going to be doing any special prep. work? I going to enter my 97 in a show in May for the Relay for Life. Going to be my first on as well.

Just a good deep cleaning is about all i am doing to the car as for me i might brush my hair and wear my new LOD t-shirt lol

Not a big fan of hip hop but I'd take it over the 50's crap anyday. :D

Car shows should not be "old timers" events. It's about cars right?. Yet, hearing aid toting old timers blast that music at almost every event I have been to. Not everyone enjoys that music.
 
The type of music doesn't bother me, it's the sound quality of music played through public address speakers, too loud, and outside. Noise to me.
 
Well I am at the car show its mostly for trucks, the music is good, they got a proff. DJ from L.A. I am the only Mark Viii here few other Lincolns here, but mostly LS's still got an hour to see if i won any thing prob not the comp. is tight let you all know later.
 
OK guys and ladies I took 1st place out of 25 in my class :D This was a huge show, altogether there were 1200+ entries
