"check air ride"

Hey there,

Does anyone know how to check for leaks on the solenoid o-rings? I keep getting a "check air ride" message, I have replaced all four bags and o-rings this past year, the message started showing up again about 4 months after I replaced the bags. Do I otherwise have to change out all the O-rings on all four corners?

This message is random, it does not always appear. Sometimes it appears after a minute of driving sometimes it does not appear at all. I have let the car sit overnight with the airride switch turned off it does not drop.

Thanks,
Dave.

Just spray the solenoids where they go into the airsprings with soapy water. Then wait 10-15 minutes and look for soap foam.

I'd also spray the tops of the airspring/shock assemblies under the hood. I've heard of some new ones that leak there too.

Sorry, I missed your edit there.

If your car doesn't leak down, it might be the compressor or vent valve acting up.

Try to see when the message comes on. If it comes on 45 seconds after the system should vent, there's a vent valve problem.

If the message comes on 90 seconds after the system should inflate, it might be the compressor, relay or wires to the relay.

The message does not show after I hear the compressor. It is totally at random, but mostly when I get to highway speed. Isnt the mark supposed to drop at higher speeds? Then I assume its the vent valve...

What do I need to do to fix this? where is it? etc.

BTW I sprayed the solenoids and tops with soapy water and no bubbles....

Thanks
Dave

if its coming on when you get to highway speed then your vent valve on the compressor is the problem. since you replaced everything else, throw a new compressor on it too and be done.
