Chicago Meet - help with Dates

Well, the summer hasn't gone as I planned (for those of you following the saga - I'm still employed :( ). But we do need to get together.

If someone wants to plan an official Chicago meet, that would be great, as I don't have the energy to do it. However, what I DO want to do is have a big party (the infamous silly hat party) at my house. Now, this could be turned into a whole weekend, maybe head up to the dragstrip, etc. but for the time being, all I can handle is having a party.

I've been putting off picking a date (or confirming with Hubby hee hee). Help me!!!! What works for you?

Possible dates:

August 27
September 4 (Sunday) - labor day weekend
Sept. 10
Sept. 17
etc.

Well, Sept. 10th would work best for me right now. However, I don't have a silly hat unless I borrow a white sox cap. Ouch! haha }(

The 27th I have a dynotune scheduled. With the exception of the 4th on Labor Day weekend, I have nooooooooo idea. Sundays are a better day for me, but I'll just try and see what I can do. It would be cool to meet up again.

I would really like to try to make it up there. Labor day weekend is definetly a no for me, and the others really depend on how school is going.

Also what type of funds I have available at the time. I've just been put in the position of having to buy a beater. But not to fear... if I can make it I'll bring the Mark.

JP, it'd most likely have to be a Saturday, as I'll be inviting ex-coworkers, too (some of whom are young single chicks), and I don't think I could get a good turnout on a Sunday.

However, this can be turned into an entire weekend event. There's always the dragstrip or Volo Auto Museum, etc. which can be done, or other things in Chicago.

K, my smoking hot friend can't make the 10th - how would the 17th look for everyone? Really guys, I'm gonna do my best to get some single chicks attending.

Ok, the sooner the better for me...

My awesome 4 day weekend schedule looks like it'll end come September, so the last weekend in Aug, and the first in Sep are the best. After that I can't guarantee anything cause I really need the extra day on either end for travel.

Just plan something. Can't really commit right now since I don't know the exacts when it comes to school... or how things will be looking since I'll have bought a beater by then.

Going to look at some Datsun's tomorrow. :D
