Chip or not ?

As you know i have 100 shot of nitrous (wet) system on the mark. The way its setup now, i beleive running the nos is pretty safe. If i decide to get a chip, will this raise my chance of having my car break ? Or should i play it safe and not mess with the chip?

get a DYNO TUNE like I have been saying since you started asking N2O questions! It will be VERY safe. Safer than your current set up because you will not be guessing what it is going for a/f.

a switch chip would give you a street performance tune and a nitrous tune...which would give you the best of both worlds.

whether you get a dual program chip or not, you really REALLY want to get a good solid DYNO verified tune for running nitrous.

unless you have baseline verified your Normally Aspirated Air Fuel ratio, then there is no way you can say you have a "safe nitrous system", especially since the nitrous kit depends on your stock fuel system to add fuel.

All of above is correct and good info. Yes you will benefit more from actually having the vehicle dyno tuned for NA and then nitrous. You currently don't know where you a/f is stock. More than likely it's very fat (rich) since that's the way Ford programs these vehicles. But that's only if you have everything working properly. Better safe than sorry.

Now can a mail order custom program be built for a nitrous setup, yes it can. But it won't be as close as it could be with a dyno tune. You will definitely benefit from any type of performance programming though.
