clip on top of rear airbag

I just received a pair of rear airbags that I won on "that auction site". Quick question: what it the little metal clip thing at the top, at the edge? Is it really important? I hope not, because one of them is broken off. Oh well, you get what you pay for! Thanks.

There should be a small metal locking tab at the outside edge of the top about 90 degrees from the solenoid.

It's broken off on one of them. Will it just rotate out without it?

Sorry, I'm not sure. It's doubtful, but you never know till you try. It could just be an assembly/alignment helper.

I got em' pretty cheap, they are probably worth having around in case I got to throw one in real quick.
