You'll have a stronger setup if you use an aftermarket differential. The cobra center section comes with 3.73's and traction-lok. The auburn or eaton diffs are better than the traction lok. As for the differential housing, there is no difference between the cobra center section and ours. The difference is that it's traction-lok with 3.73's instead of open with 3.08's.
