Cobra intake/MMR Deletes/Aeromotive FPR

So I decided it's time to get serious and get the Cobra intake manifold and the MMR IMRC deletes along with an Aeromotive FPR. My question is will the Aeromotive FPR fit on the Mark VIII rail with the Cobra intake installed?

Yea I found out it won't fit with the gen 2 fuel rails. I need to know what needs to be done to swap to Cobra fuel rails. There's a set on ebay right now with an ADJ FPR and fuel pressure gauge already on them...

To do this right, you need some fittings and hoses from Russell via Summit Racing.

You can try looping the 1st gen lines (to shorten them) but I don't recommend it.
I did a set where I bent them into a loop inside the wheel well (they're soft aluminum down there, no restrictions were created) but the custom lines are a better choice.

There is really no other alternative, unless you like worm clamps on high pressure lines.

Hey Jeremi, I searched russel fuel lines on summit racing and there are so many different options. I am thinking of doing it once and doing it right, do you know which lines and fittings I would need exactly? I appreciate the help...

These are the fittings (4 total) to adapt to the fuel rail side, and the filter area side.
To complete it you need 6 feet (2 x 3') of line with 4 female -6AN ends of your choice.

Thanks Jeremi! Also, I noticed my 98 fuel rail looks like it has two fuel pressure regulators, the 96 cobra rails only have one... will this cause any problems, CEL light etc., when I swap the rails?

Will this feed line in the picture work?

You only have one fuel pressure regulator.

Will this fuel line work or does it have to be longer??

As JP said, there is only one regulator. The other "thing" (still don't know what to call it)is there to equilize the pressure throughout the fuel rail, and if it's not there on the cobra rail, then it's not needed for that design of the rail. Delete all those vac lines, and you won't have a problem. EGR and AIR should go too ;)

That line looks to be too long, they need to be short, like 30" or something close. Get out the tape measure and find out. All the stock lines I've seen were too long, maybe tbird lines would fit ? But why would you want tbird parts on your car ? ;)

Buy the russell parts and get over it.

It's called a "Fuel Pulse Damper". On the Cobra it's in the feed line before the rail.
