Cold Air Intake

I am definetely a newbie to the Mark Viii world. I just purchased a 94 with 84K and I love it. I changed all the pulleys, the alternator, new tires, etc.
I have used the headlight restorer kit with some sucess and recharged the AC. My question is, Is there a cold air kit I could purchase that is worth the money and allows use of the engine cover?
I have been reading this for about 6 weeks and this appears to be the most helpful car forum I have ever seen.
Thanks so much
Charlie

There are no complete cold air kits available for our cars. Some people have made their own, or if you switch your intake manifold to a Cobra manifold, then you will have more options.

Thanks so much for the info, but I will leave it as is. I am currently stuffing a 408 into a Turbo Coupe for my hot rod. I will keep this one as a luxury vehicle, as it was intended.

If you decide to leave it, you can still remove the silencer. It is below the air filter box. It will allow for a little more air and a nicer sound at WOT.

You basically have CAI, since the way it is set up you are taking in outside air. The K&N will do nothing for you performance wise. Stick with paper unless you want to have a washable filter. For the money if you want a bit more performance a chip is good to have.

I have one, complete drop in, no modification required.

direct bolt in, using stock location, and stock harness...
it gained me absolutely NOTHING...but it looks cool, and the filter is easier to get access to, and the engine compartment looks less cluttered with that massive breadbox air filter housing.
