hey people i am not sure if i am posted this in the right place. I wanted to know if i can put a mustang computer in my 1997 mark viii or what eles kinda of computer can i put in it. I am new on having a mark viii so i have no idea thanks people for all your help

Computer for what? What are you trying to accomplish?

If you enough money, you can DO ANYTHING! Can you do it simply by installing the "brain" in the Mark? In a word, NO!

It is to have the shift points like a mustang and not like a mark viii so i can get more performance.

Cheaper to chip the Mark....and/or install a '98 tranny in it.

98 transmission has nothing to do with shift points.

If you want to increase the shift points and firm up the shifts you should talk to Lonnie at blue oval chips.... I think the going rate is around $300 for a chip or since you have OBD II you can get one of those portable programers for about $400 and simply flash your computer.

I would suggest raising the rev limiter to 6500rpms and firming up the shifts only...
