Lol! He's got a black mop hairdo.

Nice shot!

I always wondered if a digital camera was fast enough to stop the wings of a hummingbird.

Next time try it with a flash.:D

Lol!! I didn't even see the hummingbird coming in for a landing before.
Yeah, I was taking the picture of the yellow bird.

BTW. It's not landing It's trying to scare the other bird away.
As I got closer the Hummingbirds were coming right up to my face to scare me away from the food.
I have five feeders enough for 20 birds to feed at all at once, but they fight over each like it was going be the last time the eat.

Since the picture all are almost empty. Time to boil more sugarwater. LOL

How do you keep the bees and wasps away? I had a feeder and loved watching the hummingbirds, but the sugar water attracted too many bees etc.

Not much trouble with Bees, But alot of trouble with ants if the feeder gets low. The birds don't seem to mind them. Altough I DO.

I've read that the bees are often attracted to the yellow colored "flowers" many of the feeders have. I didn't have any trouble with mine last year, but I may just have been lucky.

Regrettably, my feeder hangs on the corner of my detached garage. I need to get it closer to the house before I'll have a chance at snapping a photo like that.

My trouble lately has been the deer. they keep emptying my birdfeeders at night.

The tree rats eat my seed.
And they ate my gas line to my Webber bbq grill. Total of $50 shipped for the new line and they have an animal guard, should have come with that in the first place.

I used to have a tree rat problem...... cost me about $75.00 for a good quiet pellet gun.

My squirrel population is down to a manageable level.....

That'll take care of the deers too. Lol! Set the auto trigger on a motion sensor and set your camera to record. :)

Barry needs to get one for all the Bouldercreshions (hillbilly tweekers) that come on his porch and steal his aluminum cans and siphon his gas tanks at night.

Well, there's a little cultural phenomenon that I was entirely unaware of.. "hillbilly tweekers" just doesn't sound like a California kind of thing.. I guess I'll have to get Googlin'

I figured I'd just have to watch out for the hipsters..

edit: no results on "Bouldercreshions," and urbandictionary is blocked here at work. *sigh*
