Cops wanna race?

Last nite I was driving home from my bowling league when I got pulled over for going a little over the speed limit(about 30 over).As the officer came to my car it happened to be my workout partner Dave.Since he hasent seen the mark since I bought it I showed him the car and liked what he saw. Since he was on duty and that he had a marked crown vic. patrol car that he thought was fast I asked if he wanted to race.So at the red light we lined up and green.Guess who won? Me by a long shot.I thought he woulda had since its got the interceptor package on it and since I couldnt stop spinning my rear tires.But a wins a win. Did I just get lucky? My Mark VIII is still bone stock.

I'm gonna have to ask my mom and sister for a race , Chicago Police, and show them slow a$$ Cop cars off.

A guy i work with has a 99 Crown vic with the police interceptor package. he has mufflers, a tune, and posi with the stock 3.55 gears. He was running low 15's last time we were at the strip, and i think he got a 15 flat or two in there too.

Our favorite local cop (flamark) sometimes meets us at the track and races his Mark VIII.

the new fad for cops around here is explorers and chevy impalas. they stand no chance. Our town did just pick up a mid-90's Z28 the the Resourse officer takes to the High school. I should start talking to him again...

yeah, well thats like giving a monkey a gun around here. He can point and shoot, but without intelligence, skill, knowledge or a combination there of, he is still gonna miss. You gave out all the radios you want, byt cops around here just dont have the prowess to use them to their advantage. I dont plan on finding out, i dont plan on getting pulled over either, but from interacting with them on a near daily basis, you come to know their mental capacity and limitations.

What an image.... a Crown Vic cop car lined up at a light, and drag racing a street car. Oh what a video camera would have been worth right then.

You think you can outrace a cop? Not anymore. Here in Pinellas County, just outside of Tampa, Florida, they have 7 supercharged Camaro's rolling around town. I saw one in running against a biker and he was flyingggggg..... These cars up close are amazing. Top speeds of 166mph.

Who is brave enough!!!!!!

i was listening to a radio show a couple days ago with a cop talking about a guy that got away doing around 180 on alligator alley. he said the camaro's couldnt even keep up.

I am also a member of a BMW club and on there someone posted a video of an early E30 M3 that was beight driven by a 15 year old and was just cruising around at 130 and would run up to 150, 160 and completely loose the cops in the LT-1 Camaro that was chasing, forget the Crown Vics...

doesn't matter. Unless the local police authoroties invest in an apache or some really freakin awesome chopper, they can't keep up with cars above 120 mph in a helicopter either.

Have ya heard about the triton v-10 crown vic. the cops are going to get em first then they'll be available to the public,I belive they are supercharged also
